An established manufacturing business in Leicester is looking to appoint a Junior Finance Analyst to join its growing finance team. The Role
- Initially, you’ll support the day-to-day running of the finance function and assist during month end, while gradually gaining exposure to costing, BOM analysis, and finance systems.
- As the role develops, you’ll play an increasing part in improving reporting, handling large data sets, and supporting finance system processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the finance team with day-to-day accounting activities.
- Assisting with monthly management accounts, including journals and reconciliations.
- Supporting cost analysis, product costing and BOM-related work.
- Extracting, analysing and manipulating large data sets.
- Presenting financial data in clear, structured and legible formats.
- Supporting finance systems, reporting improvements and process efficiency initiatives.
- Liaising with operations and production teams to understand cost drivers.
About You
- Finance, accounting or related degree, or equivalent junior finance experience.
- Strong numerical skills with a clear interest in data and systems.
- Good Excel skills (or the desire to develop advanced Excel capability).
- Exposure to costing or BOMs through study or early experience.
- Interest in progressing within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
