Are you a hands-on, experienced accountant who thrives on variety, enjoys getting into the detail, and takes pride in bringing structure to complexity? Alexander Daniels are currently seeking a qualified interim accountant on behalf of a global manufacturing organisation in Derby, who require support across a range of ad hoc projects, process improvements, and financial “housekeeping” activities.

The Role

This is a broad and varied opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and making an immediate impact. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting ad hoc finance projects across the business
  • Performing reconciliations and resolving historic issues
  • Investigating discrepancies and tying up loose ends
  • Improving processes and strengthening financial controls
  • Assisting with reporting, month-end, and general finance support where required

About You

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can hit the ground running:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a manufacturing organisation preferred
  • Proven experience in interim or project-based roles
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and incomplete information
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and solution-focused
  • Confident communicator who can work across teams
