ALEXANDER DANIELS are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant for a business based in the Oldbury area. This role offers great exposure in a growing business, working closely with the Financial Controller you will gain invaluable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review profit and loss accounts, calculating and posting accruals and prepayments as appropriate.
  • Reconciliation of various balance sheet control accounts.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis for divisional and finance management.
  • Review sales and stock losses and investigate variances across all business units.
  • Support the budget generation and forecast submissions.
  • Processing and reconciling intercompany accounts.
  • Assist with the Audit process.
  • Provide support to the transactional team both Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with business unit teams and third parties.
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (2 – 3 years).
  • Good IT Skills (particularly Microsoft Excel).
  • Pro-active and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using email and telephone.
  • Compliance with the company values and required levels of the competency framework.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role and be working towards a professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA). A good level of Excel skills is also essential (VLOOKUP, PIVOTS). This role is predominantly office based with some flexibility.
