A well-established Solihull-based business is looking for an Accounts Assistant to support the finance team with daily transactional accounting tasks, helping maintain accurate financial records and efficient financial processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the purchase ledger
- Handling accounts receivable
- Completing regular bank reconciliations
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Processing and matching supplier invoices
- Preparing supplier payment runs
- Raising customer invoices and credit notes
- Allocating receipts and monitoring outstanding debt
- Supporting credit control and escalating overdue accounts
- Investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate cash postings
- Assisting with petty cash and credit card reconciliations
