We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international financial services organisation for an Assistant to Group Company Secretary. This is an excellent opportunity for a governance professional to join a growing, multi-jurisdictional business, supporting board governance, corporate compliance, and company secretarial activities across several international entities.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Company Secretary, you will provide comprehensive support across governance, regulatory compliance, board administration and statutory company secretarial matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the governance framework across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Maintaining corporate records, structure charts, and due diligence documentation.
  • Managing statutory registers and regulatory filings.
  • Coordinating Board and Committee meetings, including agendas, board packs, minutes, and action tracking.
  • Preparing governance and company secretarial reports.
  • Supporting corporate projects, restructurings, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Assisting with corporate governance reviews and board effectiveness assessments.
  • Supporting director onboarding and induction processes.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A relevant qualification such as CGI/ICSA (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a company secretarial, governance, or corporate administration role within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Guernsey company law and company secretarial practice.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive approach with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
