Are you a commercially minded Financial Controller looking for a role where you can genuinely influence the direction of a business?
We're exclusively recruiting for a key leadership position within a well-established international manufacturing business.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the UK Senior Management Team, this is a broad and highly visible role that combines financial leadership, commercial partnering, governance, and strategic decision-making.
This is far more than a traditional Financial Controller position.
You'll be a trusted adviser to the leadership team, helping drive performance, improve profitability, support growth initiatives, and ensure robust financial and regulatory compliance across the UK operation.
The Opportunity
- You’ll take full ownership of the UK finance function while leading a small Finance and IT team. Key responsibilities will include:
- Financial reporting, controls and compliance
- Budgeting, forecasting and long-term strategic planning
- Cashflow, treasury, banking and working capital management
- Standard costing, manufacturing performance analysis and investment appraisals
- Commercial pricing, tender reviews and business partnering
- UK statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance
- Company Secretarial responsibilities and corporate governance
- Driving process improvement, automation and stronger financial insights
- Supporting operational, supply chain and commercial leaders across the business
- As a member of the senior leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping business decisions and helping the organisation achieve its strategic objectives.
About You
- We’re keen to speak with qualified finance professionals who can operate both strategically and hands‑on.
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance or similar leadership role
- Strong manufacturing sector experience
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and statutory reporting
- Experience managing audits, compliance and financial controls
- ERP system experience (SAP advantageous)
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience within an international or multinational business environment
- Most importantly, you’ll be a proactive leader who enjoys being close to the business, challenging convention and helping drive continuous improvement.
