Alexander Daniels are working with a fast-growing specialist tax advisory firm in Nottingham City Centre to recruit ambitious Assistant Managers and Managers into their M&A / Transactions Tax team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team working on a wide range of complex UK and international transactions for owner-managed businesses, corporates, and private equity clients.
You will play a key role on both buy-side and sell-side projects, gaining exposure to high-value deal activity within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality transactions tax advisory services
- Support a range of deal-related projects, including:
- Buy-side and sell-side tax advice
- Tax due diligence
- Acquisition and disposal structuring
- Cross-border transactions
- Corporate and shareholder reorganisations
- Demergers and management tax matters
- Build and manage relationships with clients and intermediaries
- Act as a key point of contact on engagements
- Identify opportunities to provide additional advisory services
- Work collaboratively with UK and international teams
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Prepare client deliverables and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
- 2+ years’ experience (Assistant Manager) or 4+ years’ experience (Manager) in a corporate tax role
- Strong exposure to tax advisory work, ideally with some transactions experience
- Professionally qualified (ATT / CTA / ACA) or equivalent
- Keen interest in developing expertise in M&A and cross-border transactions
- Strong UK corporate tax knowledge
- Experience working with clients and acting as a key contact
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, Excel, and presentation skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach
