An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a nationally recognised business based in Leicestershire as a Junior Treasury Analyst, offering a salary of up to £30,000. This role will support the day‑to‑day operations of a well‑established Treasury function and is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in developing a long‑term career within finance or treasury. The successful candidate will gain valuable exposure to cash management, payments, liquidity reporting, and treasury controls, working closely with senior stakeholders including the CFO.
Cash & Bank Management
- Perform daily bank reconciliations across all company accounts
- Review and manage foreign currency balances, supporting FX exposure monitoring
- Prepare and draft weekly payment runs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Upload and validate monthly payroll files in line with internal controls
Treasury Operations & Controls
- Maintain accurate treasury records and reconciliations in line with audit requirements
- Support the ongoing development and improvement of treasury processes, policies, and controls
- Liaise with banks, internal teams, and external stakeholders as required
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare routine treasury reporting, including cashflow summaries and payment schedules
- Support month‑end close activities related to cash, banking, and payments
- Assist with ad hoc analysis to support business decision‑making
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in finance, accounts payable, or treasury with exposure to multi‑currency environments and experience with accounting or ERP systems and an interest in studying for professional qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or ACT. You must possess strong numerical and analytical skills along with high attention to detail and the ability to deal with high volumes of data, so intermediate Excel skills are a requisite.
