A dynamic and growing international organisation is seeking a hands-on Management Accountant in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing finance team, taking ownership of core accounting and transactional processes across multiple business units. The role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently while collaborating with global stakeholders.
You will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, transactional finance, and business partnering, helping ensure finance operations are accurate, efficient, and consistently delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts)
- Own the month-end and year-end close process, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local statutory requirements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Oversee end-to-end transactional processes
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
- Act as the primary finance contact for assigned business units and collaborate with stakeholders across the UK and internationally
- Provide reporting and insights to support operational decision-making
- Review financial transactions to ensure correct allocation and treatment
- Verify intercompany transactions
- Support external audits and respond to audit queries
- Assist with tax reporting and compliance requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations
- Drive efficiencies in reporting and workflows
- Proactively resolve issues and maintain strong financial controls
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA studier
- Circa 5+ years in a similar finance role
- Strong experience with management accounts preparation
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in a complex or multi-entity environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- ERP system experience (Dynamics 365 desirable)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working with intercompany transactions and multi-currency environments
- Additional language skills (e.g. Polish)
- Knowledge of international accounting standards or local GAAP variations
- Experience working with outsourced or offshore finance teams
- Experience improving financial processes or systems
- Hybrid working model
