The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with strong stock and inventory knowledge to take ownership of a high-impact role. You’ll be responsible for driving visibility, accuracy, and control over stock-related financials—working closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage inventory reporting and reconciliations, ensuring alignment between physical and financial records Analyse stock movements, wastage, shrinkage, and identify trends and corrective actions Develop and report on inventory KPIs: turnover, days on hand, provisions, and write-offs Lead month-end and year-end inventory close processes and reporting Support physical inventory audits and cycle counts Provide forecasts, insights, and commentary on stock-related working capital and cash flow impacts Partner with operational stakeholders to support stock reduction plans and margin improvement Contribute to system/process improvements around inventory controls and reporting Assist in stock valuation reviews related to external funding or audit processes Candidate Profile: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with strong inventory exposure Proven experience in retail, FMCG, or distribution sectors desirable Confident with financial reporting, controls, and analysis relating to stock Strong Excel skills and experience working with large ERP or stock management systems Able to present complex data to non-finance stakeholders Detail-oriented with commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset What’s on Offer: Opportunity to step into a high-visibility role in a growing and fast-paced business Strong leadership team who really listen and a collaborative working environment Career development opportunities and potential for progression
