Service Charge Accountant .

The Opportunity
As Service Charge Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the accounting activities across a diverse property portfolio.
Working closely with Property Managers and wider stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial information and ensuring service charge accounts are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation, review, and management of annual service charge budgets.
- Preparing year-end service charge accounts and expenditure reconciliations.
- Completing bank, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitoring service charge arrears and supporting debt recovery processes.
- Producing monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis.
- Acting as a key point of contact for leaseholders, clients, and auditors regarding financial queries.
About You
- Previous experience within a Service Charge Accountant position.
- A strong understanding of service charge accounting principles and relevant industry guidelines.
- Excellent Excel and systems skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- The confidence to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
