Finance Business Partner required for a leading name in the supply chain and logistics sector, operating out of fantastic offices in Birmingham, West Midlands. This role will see an experienced business partner managing the supply chain function, and is based in the office 2 days per week, with 2 days from home. The other day will be visiting one of the logistics branches for a site visit (3-4 times per month).

The company is a £400m+ UK subsidiary of a global European-owned giant, and is currently going through a round of transformation to improve systems and processes, so this is an excellent time to be joining a forward-thinking group.

Responsibilities

  • Building relationships with supply chain stakeholders, providing financial insight and creating innovative decision-making strategies to improve performance
  • Communicating ongoing business issues and forming action teams to attend and fix them
  • Ownership of the logistics and supply chain P&Ls
  • Weekly travel to the regional sites to discuss P&L performance with operations teams
  • Use of business intelligence and analytics to identify risks/opportunities and drive action
  • Supporting the Commercial Finance Director with the development, implementation and monitoring of business plans for the supply chain and logistics functions
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for supply chain, reforecasting as appropriate
  • Development of non-financial KPI reports and dashboards for the supply chain function, reviewing with the commercial finance team and regional operators regularly

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA or ICAEW/ICAS) with experience operating as a strong business partner – you\’ll need to be able to confidently challenge and persuade stakeholders. It is essential that you have experience working either in the logistics industry or working alongside the supply chain function of another large business.
