Audit Director / Partner – Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid)

Our client is a highly regarded accountancy practice with ambitious growth plans and a strong presence across the Midlands. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Audit Director / Partner to play a key leadership role within the audit practice while helping drive the firm's next phase of growth. The Role
As Audit Director Partner, you will lead a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and larger corporate clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit and advisory services. Alongside your technical and leadership responsibilities, you will be expected to play a significant role in developing new business opportunities and strengthening the firm's market presence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a substantial audit portfolio.
- Managing and mentoring audit managers and wider team members.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Identifying advisory opportunities and cross-selling services across the firm.
- Actively participating in networking, business development, and marketing initiatives.
- Winning new clients and generating fee growth through your professional network and market profile.
- Supporting strategic planning and contributing to the firm's growth objectives.
- Working closely with Partners on succession planning and future leadership initiatives.
- Progressing towards Responsible Individual (RI) status, where required.
About You
- My client is looking for a commercially minded audit professional who combines strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for business development.
- ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Significant experience operating at Senior Manager, Associate Director or Director level within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
- A proven track record of managing substantial client relationships.
- Experience identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ambition and capability to progress towards RI status.
