We are working with a systematic hedge fund that’s continuing to build out its research team, specifically looking for a senior quant focused on alpha generation across equities and futures. This isn’t a pure “support” seat; they want someone who can own research, generate ideas, and push strategies toward production in a setup where research actually translates into PnL.
What you’d be doing:
- Developing and iterating on alpha signals across equities and/or futures
- Working with large, messy datasets (market + alternative)
- Applying statistical / ML techniques where appropriate (not for the sake of it)
- Taking ideas from initial hypothesis through to live deployment
- Partnering closely with PMs, fairly tight feedback loop between research and capital
They’re interested in people who:
- Have real experience in systematic strategies / quant research
- Can point to alpha they’ve worked on (live is ideal, strong research is fine)
- Are strong in Python and comfortable working end-to-end
- Actually care about markets, not just models
