A top-tier multi-strategy hedge fund in London is seeking a highly skilled Trade Operations professional to join its growing Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in reconciliations, settlements, and Geneva, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants meaningful ownership of processes, systems, and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily trade, cash, and position reconciliations across prime brokers, custodians, and internal systems (with heavy usage of Geneva).
- Oversee trade settlements across equities, derivatives, fixed income, and FX.
- Resolve breaks related to trades, P&L, corporate actions, fees, and financing.
- Manage trade capture, confirmations, and lifecycle events across asset classes.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in positions, pricing, commissions, and stock borrow.
- Liaise with Trading, Risk, Technology, and external partners to resolve time-sensitive issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of Trade Operations or Middle Office experience at a hedge fund, investment manager, or prime broker.
- Hands‑on experience with Geneva is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of trade settlements, reconciliations, and post‑trade workflows.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to Python or automation tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment.
