L/S Equity Analyst, Consumer Discretionary

This is a Europe-focused long/short equity role within a highly analytical, buyside investment team. The firm follows a concentrated, fundamental investment approach and invests across consumer, technology, and industrial sectors. The team is small and collaborative, offering direct exposure to senior portfolio managers and the investment decision-making process.

Role Overview:

The Senior Analyst will focus on Consumer Discretionary equities across Europe. This is a hands-on role for candidates with deep sector expertise and experience generating both long and short investment ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental research and financial analysis on European Consumer Discretionary companies, including market sizing, competitive dynamics, and management quality.
• Build detailed financial models to support long and short investment theses.
• Monitor existing positions and track sector trends, catalysts, and risks.
• Present investment ideas and recommendations to senior portfolio managers.
• Collaborate with the investment team to inform portfolio construction and risk management.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of buyside equity experience, ideally in Long/Short strategies.
• Deep knowledge of Consumer Discretionary companies and trends in Europe.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Track record of generating actionable investment ideas.
• Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative, and high-conviction team environment.
• Direct exposure to senior portfolio managers and the investment process.
• High degree of autonomy in research and idea generation.
