We are looking for an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join a growing SHEQ team, supporting major construction and infrastructure projects across the region. The successful candidate will provide senior-level health and safety advice, support project teams and help drive a strong, proactive safety culture. Previous experience working within the water sector is desirable for this position. Key Responsibilities Provide expert H&S advice to project and SHEQ teams. Support the implementation of policies, procedures, risk controls and management systems. Lead and support audits, inspections and SHEQ assurance activities. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses. Work closely with project teams and clients to identify and manage risks. Monitor performance data, identify trends and recommend improvements. Support compliance with UK H&S legislation, CDM and relevant HSE guidance. Promote continuous improvement and sustainable ways of working. Provide coaching and guidance to colleagues at all levels. Essential: Significant H&S experience within the construction sector. Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations. Good understanding of HSE guidance and construction best practice. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent occupational safety qualification. Construction-related H&S qualification. Appropriate professional H&S membership. Willingness to travel across regional project sites. Desirable: Water, utilities or infrastructure experience. Experience with ISO 45001 or similar management systems. Strong data analysis and reporting skills. CSCS card and full UK driving licence. Chartered/Certified IOSH membership. Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills.
