We are recruiting for an experienced Senior CAD Technician to join a growing design team delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK water sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the production of high-quality engineering drawings and models that support the delivery of clean water and wastewater projects.
Working closely with multidisciplinary design engineers, you will be responsible for producing accurate, compliant, and efficient design deliverables while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The Role As a Senior CAD Technician, your responsibilities will include: Producing high-quality CAD drawings and 3D models in line with project programmes and budgets.
Working collaboratively with Design Engineers to develop detailed engineering drawings.
Ensuring all drawings comply with company CAD standards, industry best practice, and client requirements.
Preparing and maintaining accurate design documentation using Project Wise and other document management systems.
Managing your workload effectively, recording time accurately, and supporting project planning through realistic task estimates.
Minimising rework by producing accurate, coordinated design information.
Applying standard details, design standards, and quality procedures throughout the design process.
Supporting continuous improvement in CAD processes and mentoring junior technicians where appropriate.
