We’re working with an innovative space company developing next-generation launch technology, who are looking to add a Senior Avionics Systems Engineer to their growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of an orbital-class launch system, taking ownership of onboard avionics systems across the full engineering lifecycle.

The Role

You’ll act as a technical focal point across avionics and wider vehicle systems, working closely with systems engineering, GNC, propulsion, software, and ground support teams to deliver highly reliable flight hardware for a complex aerospace platform.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading avionics system design and integration activities
  • Defining interfaces between onboard electronics, vehicle subsystems, and ground systems
  • Supporting system architecture, requirements definition, and verification activities
  • Managing technical schedules, development priorities, and engineering coordination
  • Contributing to hardware/software trade studies and technical decision-making
  • Supporting testing, troubleshooting, installation, and validation of electronic systems
  • Working cross-functionally across multidisciplinary engineering teams

What They’re Looking For

  • Degree qualified in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
  • 5+ years of experience within avionics, embedded systems, electronics, or complex systems engineering
  • Strong background in integration, testing, or development of electronic systems
  • Experience working within high-reliability industries such as space, aerospace, defence, automotive, or similar
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles, interfaces, and V&V activities
  • Previous technical leadership or project ownership experience
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and support hardware integration activities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
