Our client, a T1 Contractor, is looking to strengthen their Planning team with the addition of an experienced Planner. You will take ownership of multiple project plans, driving delivery teams to achieve programme objectives while proactively challenging delays and deviations. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise, with support and mentoring from Senior Planners to help you grow into a leading planning professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage robust, detailed project plans across the full project lifecycle
  • Ensure project plans reflect complete scope, with appropriate resource allocation and loading
  • Identify risks and opportunities within programmes, monitoring critical paths and key milestones
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to delivery teams on programme changes
  • Review, challenge, and integrate supply chain programmes into the main project schedule
  • Produce and manage programmes in line with internal planning procedures, including:
    • Support collaboration across project teams to drive programme performance and outperformance
    • Implementation of project and activity codes
    • Baseline management
    • Programme narratives for submission
    • Regular schedule quality and integrity checks

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience working on projects within the Water Industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience with collaborative planning processes
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings to support effective planning delivery
  • Experience supporting claims programmes and implementing contractual programme changes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to meet changing project needs
  • A proactive and supportive attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop within a team environment
