Overview: Alexander Associates are supporting a leading contractor within the water sector in the appointment of a Project Controller. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination, administration, and tracking of project activities across a portfolio of works. You will act as a central point of support to project teams, ensuring data is accurately managed, processes are followed, and key actions are driven through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support across multiple projects
- Maintain and update project documentation, trackers, and reporting systems
- Monitor project progress and proactively chase actions, deliverables, and updates from internal and external stakeholders
- Support project managers with planning, scheduling, and coordination of activities
- Ensure accurate data management across project platforms and systems
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and status updates for senior stakeholders
- Assist with document control and ensure compliance with internal processes
- Coordinate meetings, capture minutes, and track follow-up actions
- Support cost tracking, purchase orders, and general project-related administration where required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a project support, project coordinator, or project controller role
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working within utilities, water, engineering, or infrastructure environments is desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and project management systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
