Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to lead the development and management of project programmes, ensuring successful delivery against key milestones. You will collaborate with project and commercial teams, identify risks and opportunities, and drive performance, while mentoring junior planners and supporting continuous improvement across the planning function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop tender programmes from documentation, ensuring compliance and realism
  • Prepare, update, and submit contract programmes in line with requirements
  • Support and lead collaborative planning workshops
  • Lead the development of Construction Phase 4D planning
  • Maintain baseline programmes and track progress against them
  • Liaise with project teams to ensure consistency in methodology and outputs
  • Identify risks and opportunities during the planning process
  • Monitor progress, analyse delays, and report on deviations
  • Manage and implement programme changes based on scope adjustments
  • Attend and present at project and progress meetings
  • Gather site progress data through regular site visits
  • Produce and distribute look-ahead programmes
  • Ensure completion of As-Built programmes at project close-out
  • Monitor site processes, costs, and impacts of change on the programme
  • Support monthly progress reporting in line with client requirements
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Support administration and use of Primavera P6
  • Deliver planning software training where required

About You:

  • Experience planning civil and/or M&E projects
  • Strong knowledge of HSE practices (CSCS card holder)
  • Experience working with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced user of Primavera P6
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong ability to identify risks and opportunities
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
