About the Role

We’re working with an innovative space company to hire a Satellite RF Engineer to join their team in London. In this permanent role, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, and testing of RF systems used in satellite communications—playing a key part in delivering the next generation of orbital missions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge RF technology for space, from concept to flight, within a fast-moving and highly skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RF systems and components for satellite platforms
  • Support link budgets, frequency planning, and system-level RF performance analysis
  • Integrate and test RF subsystems including antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transceivers
  • Work closely with digital and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration
  • Conduct lab-based and on-orbit RF performance testing and troubleshooting
  • Prepare technical documentation and support project reviews
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory standards in satellite communications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline
  • Strong experience with RF design for satellite or aerospace applications
  • Familiarity with RF simulation tools (e.g. CST, HFSS, ADS) and lab test equipment (e.g. VNAs, spectrum analysers)
  • Knowledge of satellite link budgets, modulation schemes, and spectrum allocation
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
