We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor with a strong background in the water industry to oversee site operations on infrastructure and utilities projects across South East London. This contract role requires a hands-on professional with a solid understanding of water and wastewater works, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily site activities on water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, drainage, and associated civil works
  • Coordinate subcontractors, plant, labour, and materials to meet programme requirements
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Oversee installation of water mains, sewers, pumping stations, or treatment-related infrastructure
  • Monitor progress and provide regular updates to project management teams
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and client specifications (e.g., Thames Water standards)
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid delays

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor within the water or utilities sector
  • Strong knowledge of water infrastructure, including mains laying, drainage, and civil engineering works
  • Valid CSCS card (essential); SSSTS or SMSTS required
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the utilities sector
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage site operations in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working on projects within London or for major UK water authorities
