Alexander Associates are partnering with a cutting-edge, fast-growing launch provider who are looking for a Project Manager. This full-time, long-term contract offers the chance to work at the forefront of the space industry. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, business, legal, and finance teams to keep complex space-sector projects on track and aligned with programme milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stakeholders and ensure successful technical delivery of engineering projects
- Create, manage, and oversee new and existing work packages and project scopes
- Lead delivery of verification and validation evidence for the launch vehicle and its subsystems
- Create and manage work packages, ensuring alignment with engineering and mission requirements
- Coordinate stakeholders across propulsion, avionics, structures, and operations to ensure successful technical delivery
- Support development of future launch projects and grant applications
Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience in the space sector or aerospace industry
- Strong track record of delivering engineering projects on time and within budget
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
- Awareness of related functions such as procurement and engineering management
- Experience developing project business cases
Desirable
- Technical understanding suitable for supporting decisions in a launch or high-technology environment
- Familiarity with ECSS or similar aerospace systems engineering standards
- Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP)
