An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic SHEQ leader to join a major infrastructure programme within the UK water sector.

This senior leadership role will drive the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality agenda across a large regional framework, helping to shape culture, performance and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Regional Director and working closely with senior SHEQ leadership, you will provide strategic direction, lead a high-performing SHEQ team, and build strong relationships with clients, delivery partners and stakeholders.

You will champion a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislative and management system requirements, and use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Key Requirements

Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary SHEQ teams within construction, utilities or a similar environment.

Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Chartered IOSH membership (CMIOSH).

Environmental qualification and risk assessment competence.

Strong understanding of SHE legislation, industry standards and management systems.

Excellent analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power Point and Visio.
