We are working with a leading engineering consultancy in the water sector that is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Principal Electrical Design Engineer. This is a hybrid role based in the South East, offering a great mix of office and remote working.
In this senior-level position, you’ll lead the electrical design process on complex water and wastewater treatment projects. You’ll play a critical role in delivering efficient, safe, and cost-effective solutions while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring coordination across multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the production of electrical design layouts and documentation for water infrastructure projects
- Ensure designs are cost-effective, buildable, and compliant with relevant standards and health & safety requirements
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, and civil engineering teams
- Support project proposals and estimates
- Drive process improvements and ensure technical quality
- Contribute to staff development and departmental best practices
- Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with chartered status or working towards it
- Strong experience in electrical design for water and wastewater treatment projects
- Proven leadership experience in managing design teams
