Principal / Senior Civil Engineer – Water Sector

Location: Rickmansworth (site based + hybrid)

I’m working with a long-standing client delivering major capital works in the UK water sector. As their AMP8 programme gets underway, they’re looking to bring in a Principal or Senior Civil Engineer to help lead the design delivery across multiple water and wastewater treatment schemes (c. £400M total programme value).

If you’ve got solid water industry experience and want to play a key role in a high performing engineering team, this is well worth a conversation.

The Role

You’ll sit within the design team and lead civil design input on a range of live and upcoming projects. That includes:

• Developing detailed design layouts that are buildable and cost effective
• Supporting proposals and bids with technical input
• Coordinating across disciplines to ensure smooth delivery
• Ensuring compliance with CDM and H&S legislation
• Supporting junior engineers and contributing to design standards

What They’re Looking For

• Background in civil engineering design (structures, geotechnics, hydraulics)
• Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment
• Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 , CESWI, BS, and WIMES
• Confident producing rationalised designs and economic layouts
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering
• Chartered or working toward chartership (ICE or equivalent)
• Able to communicate technical proposals clearly and effectively
• UK driving licence
