Job description:
To perform operational tasks, including the analysis of digital devices for forensic examination and produce written reports/statements for potential court presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide written estimates for the forensic examination of digital devices for both prosecution and defence.
- Develop case-specific examination strategies and summarise proposed work programmes with agreed costs.
- Organise day-to-day casework to ensure efficient execution to required standards, costs, and in accordance with quality systems.
- Deliver complex computer device investigations on time, within budget, and to high standards, following scientific and commercial best practices.
- Advise and assist with equipment seizure and on-site acquisitions.
- Oversee research and development work by team members.
- Produce reports and deliver expert evidence based on findings.
- Review colleagues’ reports and statements to maintain quality standards.
- Handle exhibits per evidential rules to maintain case integrity.
