I\’m on the hunt for a Senior Highway Technician to join a consultancy with an integrated approach to delivering highway and transport infrastructure projects. The Senior Highway Infrastructure Engineering Technician Role:
This role is ideal for a motivated professional ready to step into a pivotal position. You\’ll be involved in all aspects of transport, highway, and civil engineering infrastructure design, with responsibilities including:
- Producing detailed design drawings
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Contributing to projects from conception through to completion
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design drawings for transport, highway, and civil infrastructure projects
- Coordinate effectively with stakeholders and ensure seamless project delivery
- Utilise Civil 3D for alignment design, ground models, and cut/fill analysis, and AutoCAD for technical drawings
- Prepare documentation for S106, S278, and S38 agreements and adoption processes
The successful candidate will bring experience in highway design and civil engineering, alongside technical proficiency and a proactive attitude. You should have:
- Knowledge of highway design standards, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, and Local Authority guidelines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and similar tools such as AutoTrack and PDS Line
- A background in preparing technical drawings for infrastructure agreements
- Qualifications such as an HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
