An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic SHEQ leader to join a major infrastructure programme within the UK water sector. This senior leadership role will drive the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality agenda across a large regional framework, helping to shape culture, performance and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Regional Director and working closely with senior SHEQ leadership, you will provide strategic direction, lead a high-performing SHEQ team, and build strong relationships with clients, delivery partners and stakeholders. You will champion a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislative and management system requirements, and use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary SHEQ teams within construction, utilities or a similar environment.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Chartered IOSH membership (CMIOSH).
- Environmental qualification and risk assessment competence.
- Strong understanding of SHE legislation, industry standards and management systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
