Contract Project Manager – Water Treatment
Location: South East England (Hybrid – site travel required)
Contract Length: 12 month rolling contract

We are supporting a well-established and forward-thinking utilities organisation in their search for a Contract Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of capital infrastructure projects focused on water treatment and clean water networks.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead essential works that contribute directly to the region’s water quality, resilience, and environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end project delivery: Take full ownership of multiple projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality throughout the lifecycle.
- Contractor and supplier management: Engage and coordinate a range of delivery partners, ensuring that work is completed to specification and standard.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, asset management, operations) and external partners to ensure project alignment and regulatory compliance.
- Technical oversight: Review technical submissions and support resolution of engineering issues across mechanical, electrical and civil disciplines.
- Reporting & governance: Maintain accurate programme data, financial forecasts, risk registers and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Health, safety and compliance: Uphold the highest safety standards across all worksites, ensuring compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Project Manager in the water sector or similar regulated infrastructure environment.
- Engineering background in mechanical, electrical or civils with the ability to interpret technical documentation and engage technical teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including contract management (e.g. NEC).
- Confident managing multiple concurrent projects with varying scopes and complexities.
- Excellent stakeholder, commercial and risk management skills.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites across the South.
