My client is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the construction phase of an onshore wind farm in central Scotland. The role includes full site responsibility and coordination, with close collaboration alongside the Lead Project Manager and Owner’s Engineer.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
  • Lead delivery of the onshore wind farm construction phase.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers for efficient execution.
  • Monitor project costs and manage scope variations.
  • Submit regular financial updates to the Lead Project Manager.
  • Conduct inspections and audits with the Owner’s Engineer.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Enforce safety policies to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Maintain communication with local authorities, internal teams, and the community.
  • Identify risks and implement contingency plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in construction management (onshore wind projects preferred).
  • SMSTS, NEBOSH, PMP, CCM or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and team management.
  • Effective project and financial management.
  • Proficient in claims and risk management.
  • Competent in construction management tools.
  • Primarily site-based with some travel as required. Travel expenses are not reimbursable.
