We’re supporting an exciting and fast-growing space technology business that is looking to bring in a Senior Systems Engineer to support the development of next-generation spacecraft and satellite systems. This is a great opportunity to join a highly collaborative engineering team working across the full system lifecycle on genuinely cutting-edge missions within the space sector.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in defining, managing, and delivering complex systems engineering activities across spacecraft programmes, working closely with multidisciplinary teams across software, hardware, avionics, RF, and mission operations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements capture and management
  • System architecture and design activities
  • Verification & validation planning
  • Technical trade-off studies
  • Supporting integration and testing activities
  • Stakeholder and customer interaction
  • Supporting full lifecycle delivery of spacecraft systems

  • Experience working within Systems Engineering environments
  • Background within space, aerospace, defence, or highly regulated engineering sectors
  • Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle
  • Experience with requirements management tools
  • Ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

  • Spacecraft or satellite experience
  • Ground systems, RF, avionics, or mission systems exposure
  • Experience working within fast-paced engineering programmes
