This is an opportunity to join the commercial team delivering a high-profile, multi-year framework that will strengthen water resilience and improve environmental outcomes across the Thames Valley.

You’ll be part of a collaborative delivery environment, working on complex, high-value schemes from early works through to completion, with direct visibility across senior decision-making and project governance.

The Role

  • Manage all commercial aspects of major water infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with contractual and financial objectives.
  • Oversee cost management, change control, valuations, and payment applications in line with NEC3/4 requirements.
  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and planners to ensure commercial decisions are informed by programme and delivery realities.
  • Lead negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to optimise value and manage risk.
  • Champion best practice in commercial governance, ensuring transparency and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor (or similar) on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, ideally within the water, utilities, civils, or related sectors.
  • Skilled in cost forecasting, budget management, and commercial reporting.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners.
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing site presence with office-based tasks.
