We’re currently supporting a growing defence engineering organisation looking to bring in a Systems Engineer to support the delivery of complex and highly technical defence programmes. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects across mission systems, integrated platforms, and next-generation defence technologies within a collaborative engineering environment.
The Role
You’ll be involved across the full systems engineering lifecycle, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the development, integration, and delivery of advanced engineering solutions. Responsibilities will include:
- Requirements capture and management
- Systems architecture and functional design
- Verification & validation activities
- Technical documentation and stakeholder engagement
- Supporting integration, testing, and acceptance activities
- Working closely with software, hardware, electronics, and mechanical teams
- Supporting delivery across complex defence programmes
What They’re Looking For
- Previous experience within a Systems Engineering environment
- Experience within defence, aerospace, maritime, or other highly regulated industries
- Understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle
- Experience with requirements management tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Desirable Experience
- Mission systems or platform integration experience
- Experience with defence standards and regulated environments
- Security-cleared or eligible for UK Security Clearance
- Exposure to RF, electronics, software, or embedded systems
