We are working with a UK-based launch vehicle provider focused on delivering sustainable access to space. The company designs and builds launch vehicles in house, supporting the growing small satellite market and contributing to the long-term development of UK orbital launch capability.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of procurement or supply chain experience who is looking to build their career within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. Based at their facility near Glasgow and reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, you will play an important role in supporting day-to-day purchasing activities, working with suppliers, and helping ensure materials and components are delivered on time to support critical engineering and manufacturing programmes. The role offers excellent exposure to supplier management, purchasing processes, and supply chain operations within a high-tech industry. Please note this is a full time, permanent role based full time onsite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Raise and manage purchase orders to support engineering and operational requirements
  • Work closely with suppliers to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies relating to orders, deliveries, and invoices
  • Collaborate with the accounts team to support smooth processing of purchasing documentation
  • Support goods inwards/outwards processes and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Monitor supplier performance and help track key purchasing metrics
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to quality, delivery, and cost efficiency

  • Around 1–2 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills and confidence working with both suppliers and internal teams
  • A proactive mindset and enthusiasm for learning and developing within procurement

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments
