We are working with a groundbreaking Launch Provider in the Space industry who are seeking a Buyer to join their fast-growing team to maintain and help improve their supply chain processes and procedures, manage purchases and continue to generate strong relationships with supply chain partners. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager to ensure that all supply chain purchases are diligently made and recorded and work with Project Engineers to facilitate the development of launch vehicles in a faster, sustainable and most cost-effective way, whilst developing good supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities and tasks of the Buyer:

  • Manage suppliers to ensure continuous supply.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to enhance part quality, lead times, and costs.
  • Maintain and improve the Supply Chain System for better traceability and AS:9100 compliance.
  • Resolve purchase order and invoice discrepancies.
  • Expedite orders as needed.
  • Work with accounts to process purchases.
  • Continuously improve performance.
  • Create and update performance reports for the Supply Chain Manager.

Preferred experience skills:

  • Supply Chain experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Able to set goals and prioritise tasks with deadlines.
  • Proven ability to plan and meet deadlines for projects.
  • Motivated, eager to learn and grow.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • EPR experience a plus.
