We are seeking an experienced Payments Product Owner to lead strategic transformation initiatives within a Retail and Corporate Banking environment. The role will focus on modernising payment platforms, enhancing customer payment journeys, and driving the delivery of scalable, compliant payment solutions across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision and roadmap for payments transformation initiatives across retail and corporate banking.
- Work closely with technology, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver modern payment capabilities.
- Lead the delivery of payment solutions including real-time payments, cross-border payments, and digital payment services.
- Translate business objectives into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritised backlogs.
- Drive Agile product development, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and bank-wide transformation objectives.
- Monitor product performance and continuously optimise payment journeys and operational efficiency.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager within Payments in a banking environment.
- Proven experience delivering payments transformation programmes within Retail and/or Corporate Banking.
- Knowledge of payment schemes and technologies (e.g. Faster Payments, SEPA, SWIFT, real-time payments).
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex payment processes into clear product requirements.
