A large financial services organisation is evolving their technology production operations and are looking for a director-level Site Reliability Engineering Lead, to play a critical role in the design, engineering, operations, and improvement of the SRE platforms, teams, and organisation.
You will be responsible for leading and scaling the SRE function, driving intelligent automation, observability, and resilience, across the organisation, and leading on production incidents, from frameworks to resolution. You will work in a hybrid on-premise / AWS-based environment and have deep understanding of cloud-native architecture and systems design.
You should apply for this role if you are/have:
- 15+ years’ experience in regulated financial services technology production environments
- Proven leadership experience in SRE or related fields (platform engineering, DevOps etc.)
- Deep technical experience in cloud-native AWS and on-premise systems architecture
- Strong incident management and observability experience for large scale systems
- Intelligent automation / Agentic AI experience preferred
- Excellent AWS services, data platforms, software engineering, CI/CD, IaC, experience
- Degree educated or higher from a leading academic institution
This is a £800-900 PAYE role (exclusive of employers NI/tax). Initially for six months. Based London, hybrid working.
