As a Gardener at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring that the full extent of the grounds and gardens is a high-quality amenity for residents, their relatives and our team. Reporting to the Home Manager, the Gardener is responsible for ensuring maintenance of the garden and grounds to a high standard. We want a truly green-fingered individual to take charge of our garden and grounds.
Responsibilities
- Be solely responsible for the garden and grounds, overseeing all aspects of planning, purchasing, planting, and maintenance.
- Work with the Home Manager to plan for garden improvements, ensuring the garden flourishes under your care.
- Perform regular garden maintenance tasks, including watering, weeding, pruning, and general upkeep.
- Collaborate with our team to ensure the garden is well-watered, especially during the summer months.
Qualifications
- Experience working within a gardening environment is essential.
