A leading U.S.-based edtech company is looking for a Middle Ruby on Rails Developer to join their fully remote team. Their platform helps educational institutions manage and distribute digital learning materials — from e-textbooks to interactive courseware. The company is known for its advanced e-reader, AI-powered study tools, and seamless integrations with major learning management systems. Their solutions are used by thousands of schools and universities, helping students save over $160 million on textbooks and other materials. The team has a strong engineering culture and very low turnover — many developers have been with the company for years. You’ll be joining a stable, collaborative, and impact-driven environment where your work will directly support modern education.
Your tasks on the position:
- Participation in all aspects of the application development life cycle, including specifications, prototypes, development, quality assurance, deployment and operations
- Development and modification of internal and external software as part of a team of engineers
- Checking work in practice and using automated tests
- Supporting the day-to-day work of the team, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
- 3+ years of application and API development experience
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
- Experience with Git or other source code control systems
Working hours: 12:00–20:00 (GMT+2, Kyiv time)
