ALEX β Alternative Experts is seeking a Junior Analyst to support operational analysis and documentation efforts within a structured federal environment. This role assists in the development, review, and coordination of operational concepts, frameworks, and supporting documentation. The position requires foundational knowledge of military operations, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to support mission planning and execution.
- Assist in the research, analysis, and development of operational guidance and documentation
- Support review and revision cycles for analytical products and supporting materials
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support operational assessments
- Research information from lessons learned systems and other structured data sources to inform analysis
- Participate in working groups, meetings, and collaborative forums to support coordination efforts
- Develop clear, concise written products including reports, summaries, and briefing materials
- Apply standard principles and frameworks to support operational analysis and documentation efforts
- Support conference preparation, facilitation, and documentation of outcomes and action items
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across multiple organizations
- Demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Required Experience:
Candidates must demonstrate experience or familiarity in six (6) or more of the following areas:
- Fundamental principles guiding operational frameworks and doctrine-like processes
- Development and assessment of operational concepts and guidance
- Organizational structures, missions, and relationships within large federal or military organizations
- Coordination across multiple organizations and stakeholder groups
- Lessons learned systems or structured research methodologies
- Task-based or framework-driven operational processes
- Preparation and participation in working groups, meetings, or conferences
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical methods
- Development of written reports, briefings, and documentation
- Proper grammar, writing standards, and professional communication
Preferred Skills and Requirements:
- Experience supporting military or federal operational environments
- Familiarity with structured planning, readiness, or assessment processes
- Exposure to joint or multi-organizational coordination environments
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, mission-focused environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly in a structured environment
Education:
- Associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of operational military experience;
- OR No degree with a minimum of 5 years of operational military experience
