Senior Quality Inspector

Description

Main Duties

· Provide leadership and direction to the inspection team.

· Oversee training and performance evaluation of inspection personnel.

· Ensure robust adherence to AS9100 quality assurance standards.

· Support Quality Manager in reviewing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).

· Program and operate Mitutoyo Crysta Apex CMMs using MCOSMOS software.

· Inspect precision machined components using CMM, scanners, and first principles methods.

· Conduct thorough inspections of in-process and final products to ensure conformance.

· Develop and maintain inspection plans and work procedures.

· Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

· Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

· Maintain accurate documentation, test records and quality metrics.

· Collaborate with engineering, production and procurement to resolve quality issues.

· Support internal and external audits and certification compliance efforts.

Other Responsibilities

· Promote and support the development of a positive Health & Safety culture.

· Provide support to other section leaders when needed.

· Communicate key business updates to the team as directed.

· Promote best practice and process discipline in all tasks.

· Continue personal and professional development in inspection and quality.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Personal Attributes

· Thorough understanding of AS9100:2016 Rev D quality management standards.

· Proficient in Mitutoyo CMM programming using MCOSMOS Version 5.

· Strong grasp of engineering drawings, tolerances and materials specifications.

· Background in precision engineering and component inspection.

· High diligence in record-keeping and documentation.

· Good IT skills with a strong command of Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

· Good organization, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities.

· Detail-oriented with a structured and proactive work approach.

· Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications
