Growing performance marketing agency working with ambitious early-stage and scaling businesses. We help clients grow through a mix of SEO, paid media, content, analytics and modern AI-powered martech - combining hands-on execution with clear thinking and experimentation. We're a small, fast-moving team where everyone is close to the work. We're scaling quickly and these are ground-floor hires that will shape how the agency operates.
The Role
We're looking for a Digital Marketing Manager who brings real depth in PPC. You'll work across the full client portfolio day-to-day - contributing to SEO, content and broader digital marketing where needed - but paid search is your specialism and where you'll have the most impact. You'll own paid search across a growing portfolio of client accounts end to end, from strategy and campaign build through to ongoing optimisation, reporting and client communication. You don't need to be a finished article, but you do need solid hands-on experience, good commercial judgment and a genuine appetite to keep developing.
Key Responsibilities
- PPC - primary channel ownership
- Own paid search strategy and execution across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising for a portfolio of clients
- Build, manage and optimise campaigns across Search, Display, Shopping and Performance Max
- Conduct thorough keyword research, write compelling ad copy and continuously test and iterate
- Set up and maintain conversion tracking, Google Tag Manager and GA4 integrations
- Manage client budgets responsibly and communicate clearly on performance against targets
- Deliver clear, insight-led monthly performance reports and client calls
Broader digital marketing
- Contribute to delivery across client accounts alongside the wider team
- Support content planning, briefing and execution where required
- Collaborate on integrated campaign planning where PPC and other channels intersect
- Use AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, analysis and campaign workflows
- Stay current on platform updates across Google, Microsoft and Meta
- Help develop the agency culture and expertise
Must Have
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on PPC experience, ideally in an agency setting
- Strong command of Google Ads including Search, Shopping, Display and Performance Max
- Excellent understanding of GTM, GA4, conversion tracking and data-led decision making
- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously without dropping quality
- Clear communicator - confident presenting results and recommendations directly to clients
- Detail-oriented and well-organised with strong project management habits
Nice to Have (But Not Essential)
- Google Ads certified or working towards it
- Experience running Meta Ads alongside Google
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals
- Experience with reporting tools such as Looker Studio
- Exposure to AI tools for copy generation, keyword research or performance analysis
- Experience working in an agency or start-up environment
About You
You are likely someone who:
- Enjoys being close to the work and takes pride in account performance
- Is commercially aware - you think in outcomes, not just activity
- Communicates clearly and confidently with clients and colleagues
- Is organised and able to prioritise without heavy supervision
- Wants to keep developing and grow with the business as it scales
What You'll Get
- Real ownership of client accounts from day one - not a junior support role
- Exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and sectors
- A collaborative team where good ideas are heard regardless of seniority
- Room to grow into a senior role as the agency scales
- Support for continued learning, development and certifications
- Bristol office with hybrid working and a competitive salary
