The Role
As an HGV Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a busy fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and ready for operation. Your duties will include:
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of HGVs and trailers
- Vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify issues efficiently
- MOT preparation and compliance work
- Completing job cards and workshop documentation accurately
- Working to high standards of safety and workmanship
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities
- Good understanding of HGV maintenance and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential
