Plant Manager - Sunbury Site (£60k+)
If you're the kind of leader who doesn't hide in an office, knows plant inside-out, and can run a busy yard like a well-oiled machine - this role is built for you.
The Mission
This site moves fast.
Machines, people, deadlines, breakdowns, logistics - everything depends on a Plant Manager who can take control, set standards, and keep the whole operation running without excuses.
If you've got the management experience, the plant knowledge, and the backbone to run a high-pressure environment, you'll thrive here.
This isn't a clipboard job. It's a hands-on leadership role where your decisions directly impact productivity, uptime, and the quality of every machine that leaves the yard.
What You'll Own
Full plant yard leadership - overseeing daily operations, workflow, repairs, servicing, and staff coordination.
Team management - leading fitters, drivers, yard staff and external contractors with clear direction and high standards.
Maintenance planning - scheduling servicing, inspections, and repairs to maximise uptime and minimise costly surprises.
Operational control - ensuring plant is safe, compliant, available, and ready for deployment when needed.
Quality assurance - making sure machines leave the yard in top condition, not "just good enough".
Problem-solving & escalation - handling breakdowns, shortages, delays, and unexpected issues with calm, confident decision-making.
Reporting & accountability - delivering clear updates on plant status, staffing, repairs, and operational performance.
What You Need to Bring
Strong management experience - you've led teams before, set standards, and held people accountable.
Deep plant knowledge - you understand machinery, servicing cycles, common failures, and what "good" looks like.
Confidence under pressure - this site is busy, and you'll be the one everyone looks to when things get messy.
Clear communication - straight talking, organised, and able to keep multiple moving parts aligned.
A leadership style that gets results - firm, fair, and respected.
Why This Role Stands Out
You're not stepping into a stagnant yard.
You're stepping into a site where your decisions matter, your standards shape the operation, and your leadership directly affects productivity across the business.
If you want a Plant Manager role where you're trusted, valued, and paid properly for your experience - this is it.
