Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a leading company within the power generation sector that specialises in Waste to Energy facilities around the world. Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their Operations and Maintenance team.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Carry out a broad range of mechanical maintenance and repair tasks across all plant processing systems and equipment, including planning and organising the details of assigned work.
- Perform routine inspections and lubrication of plant machinery, making adjustments as required to maintain optimal efficiency and performance.
- Undertake risk identification, analysis, and assessments to ensure safe working practices.
- Provide guidance, direction, and instruction to team members as required.
- Participate in HSE inspections, audits, assessments, and meetings, and promptly report any health, safety, or environmental breaches.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship, and an HNC/HND qualification in engineering is desirable.
- Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role within a 24/7 heavy process environment, working with gearboxes, conveyors, steam-raising plant, valves, rotating equipment, and hydraulic systems.
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- Demonstrated team leadership ability, strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, effective planning and organisational capability, and a strong commitment to safety.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
