What You'll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair AV/IT systems on-site
  • Perform room and system checks, preventive maintenance, and service handovers
  • Support clients remotely and on-site with technical issues
  • Work with advanced AV equipment: displays, control systems, audio systems, and signal extenders
  • Collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure smooth site operations
  • Occasionally supervise technical sub-contractors

What the Client is looking for

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with commercial AV systems: projection, flat panels, control systems, audio/video matrix, DSPs, and signal transmission
  • Hands-on knowledge of Crestron NVX systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, using tools like WireShark or Packet Tracer
  • Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot AV signals, and use hand tools confidently
  • Excellent communication skills for working with clients, teams, and stakeholders
  • UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills:

  • Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCITP, or equivalent
  • Experience with AMX, Extron, or Crestron programming
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server systems, streaming technologies, and digital signage solutions
  • IPAF and PASMA licences
  • Audio Systems (Balanced/Unbalanced)
  • Video Conferencing CODECs
  • LCD & DLP Projectors, Large Format Flat Panels
  • Crestron Control & AV Switching/Matrix Systems
  • Signal extenders (CatX/HDBaseT)
  • Lighting/DMX control, AVoIP/Dante Networking & basic IT troubleshooting
