What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Setting up and maintaining a safe, clean, compliant site.
  • Leading daily/weekly briefings, toolbox talks & site inductions.
  • Managing labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications & coordinating subcontractor design.
  • Updating programmes weekly and managing delays proactively.

Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality

  • Developing and maintaining HSEQ plans, RAMS, ITPs & lift plans.
  • Conducting weekly HSE inspections and incident reporting.
  • Managing waste, permits, licences & environmental compliance.
  • Promoting a strong safety‑first culture.

Commercial & Contractual Control

  • Managing variations, early warnings, CTQs & compensation events.
  • Supporting interim valuations, forecasts & final accounts.
  • Reviewing subcontractor pricing, RAMS, timesheets & performance.
  • Producing monthly reports and project close‑out documentation.

People Management

  • Leading, motivating and developing your site team.
  • Managing holidays, sickness, performance & wellbeing.
  • Promoting openness, accountability and high standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaising with clients, residents, landowners & utility companies.
  • Managing inspections, handovers and final completion.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of H&S, environmental and quality systems.
  • Confident managing subcontractors, programmes & commercial processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Marine experience desirable.
  • Security clearance required (or ability to obtain).
